Sunvil Stay and Sail

In Greece your sailing will be based around Nidri, on Lefkas Island; however, if you sail whilst living-aboard the first week and stay for a second week, this can be based on either another part of Lefkas, the island of Meganissi or the resorts of Parga and Sivota on mainland Greece. This makes a wonderful two-centre holiday. Choose from the accommodation offered by Sunvil Sailing, Sunvil Real Greece or Greek Islands Club.
Stay and Sail Options in Greece Living aboard a yacht for the whole of your holiday is not everyone's cup of tea but this should not put you off a sailing holiday. Stay & Sail is the option for you. Popular 2-week combinations are to spend the first week of your holiday sailing and the second week ashore relaxing and exploring; alternatively just stay ashore for one or two weeks and do your sailing on a daily basis over two or more days.
STAY & SAIL - For the Experienced/Certificated Skipper and Crew Day Boats If you are an experienced sailor we have day boats for hire allowing you to take to the water while staying ashore. The day boats are either 21ft yachts (Beneteau 211) with an out-board engine or fully refurbished traditional Drascombe Luggers, which also have an outboard engine. You have a cruising range of ten miles from Nidri which can comfortably take you to some neighbouring islands and across to the mainland; an area full of quiet and interesting bays to explore as well as many pretty small harbours to visit. Villa Flotilla If at least two of your party have some experience and certificates (1 yacht skipper & 1 competent crew), then you can combine a week afloat on flotilla with a week ashore. Choose from a wide choice of yacht and accommodation - be it a hotel, apartment or villa. Bareboat & Stay Ashore If at least two of your party are fully experienced and certificated sailors (1 yacht skipper & 1 competent crew), then you could take a bareboat for a week and then stay in a hotel, apartment or villa for the second week Brush-Up Courses Our Pre-Flotilla Brush-Up course is intended for those who wish to join a flotilla holiday after a break from sailing, ideal for the rusty but experienced and certificated skipper and crew. Depending on how 'rusty' you are these can be done over two, four or six days.		Beneteau 211 Drascombe Lugger
STAY & SAIL - For the Inexperienced and Novice Sailor Day Courses An experienced instructor will teach you about sailing on a daily basis (two-day modules aboard a Beneteau211), while at night you'll return to the land comforts of a hotel or villa. This can be during a one or two-week holiday based in or near Nidri on Lefkas Island. It can also be part of a two-week, two-resort holiday; however the sailing element has to be in or near Nidri. Learn-to-Sail (whilst living aboard) & Stay Ashore For the first week, under the watchful eye of an experienced instructor, you'll get right into the swing learning the ropes whilst living aboard a flotilla training yacht. The second week you'll stay in a hotel, apartment or villa in a choice of four resorts.

Armonia Hotel This attractive modern hotel enjoys a peaceful waterfront location just to the south of Nidri and it is the base for our sailing programmes. Although away from the bustle of Nidri, a gentle 8 minute stroll along the quiet waterfront road brings you to the harbour with its array of cafes and restaurants, and 15 minutes will take you to the beach, with its sun-beds and water-sport centres.
